Sample Letter
If you were not elected as a delegate or alternate at the
precinct caucus in February, you can still become a delegate to the
congressional district caucus. Just send a letter to the chair of
the 45th Legislative District Democratic Party (contact info can be
found here) that looks something like this:
Martin Chaney
Chair, 45th District Democrats
Dear Mr. Chaney:
This will serve as my letter of intent to stand for election
at the 45th Legislative District Caucus (April 5, 2008) as a delegate
or alternate to the 2008 Congressional Caucus and State Convention.
I am a registered voter and I consider myself a Democrat and
am willing to be known as such.
I am supporting Barack Obama for President of the United
States and if elected, I will serve as a delegate or alternate on his
behalf.
Thank you for your consideration.
